Will Chris Jericho be WWE Champ Again?

A few weeks ago we saw the return of Chris Jericho to the WWE. This was not a surprise to most people, regardless of what Jericho posted on twitter, as he is known for trying to pull the wool over people’s eyes. On his return, he is being thrust into the main event to have a feud with C M Punk over the WWE title, but will he be champ again?
It is common knowledge that the current plan is to have Jericho face C M Punk at Wrestlemania for the WWE title as a continuation of their current feud. Whether he wins or not is irrelevant, the fact is Jericho is a main event player and has been for a number of years.
The feud between him and Punk should be one of the highlights of this year. Both are fantastic to listen to on the microphone. It will be worth watching for the verbal sparring alone, however both are great in ring competitors.
That being said, Jericho is now 41 years old. Is he past his prime? The last time we saw him in a WWE ring, he was punted by Randy Orton after being involved in feuds involving more than one person for a number of months, most notably against Nexus. Was this a way of hiding the fact that Jericho is not as good as he used to be?
Since his return, not much has been seen of him in ring, however he appears to be in good shape, and any ring rust he might have can be covered over the next few weeks as he heads into a match against 5 other people, and he should be ready for his match against Punk.
Even if Jericho is not as good as he used to be, the fact is, he is better now than most of the current WWE roster will ever be, and for that reason alone, regardless of whether he wins at Wrestlemaina, you can bet that Jericho will once again be the WWE or World Heavyweight Champion.
