ROH Official Gone From the Company
Ring Of Honor backstage official Syd Eick has finished his time with the company. This was a Sinclair Broadcasting decision as part of their transition from taking over the company. Eick had been with Ring of Honor when it was formed by RF Video in 2002 as a way to sell VHS tapes and DVDs after ECW went out of business. Eich involved heavily in business decisions, paying talent, bookings of arenas, and top administrative duties. Austin Aries, former ROH World Champion who left Ring of Honor due to a contract situation and is now the TNA X Division Champion wrote on twitter regarding the matter:
@ScrapDaddyAP @BookItGabe @rohcary Just heard some #GREAT news. About damn time someone got smart. #SeeYaPal #CutTheCancerOut
Whether this is a good move or not will be apparent over time, but for now, any move that will help ROH move up in the ranks and eventually help them get noticed is a good move. As the default number three wrestling company in the the United States, it would be nice to see them catch up to TNA and give them a run for their money.
