Elevating Dolph Ziggler to the Main Event

With WWE's main event scene becoming extremely thin, it's no surprise that the company is trying to elevate new stars into the top spots, and the most recent example was Dolph Ziggler. He had a trial at the Royal Rumble this past month, and he actually did very well.

Management was making a very crucial mistake for the better part of last year as they had Vickie Guerrero doing all the mic work for Ziggler, but there was no need for that.

Dolph Ziggler is already quite talented on the mic, and he's able to establish a strong connection with the audience. That's something that the majority of WWE's roster cannot do. However, he wasn't ready to the point where could be given the WWE Title, and the company made the wise decision to keep the belt on CM Punk.

The next step would be to simply have him involved in top-level feuds with other guys. Once Rey Mysterio is back, he could be a possible option for an opponent. Ziggler needs to keep himself relevant, and continue building his credibility as well as his character.

Once WrestleMania 28 is over, WWE should give Zigger another chance at the main event. Perhaps letting him win the WWE Title, and even carrying it for a couple of months before Summerslam. This would also enable Punk to take a small break from the top spot, and possibly feud with some upper mid-card wrestlers.

One thing management should highly focus on though is giving Dolph some more promo time. If he's able to fix a few of his minor flaws, he will be able to put himself across the audience even better. The more time he's given to develop his on screen persona, the better.

Dolph Ziggler is definitely not the best performer in the industry by far, but he does have the right tools to become an effective main event wrestler for WWE.
